Crew resource management (STC04)

Context
Crew resource management (CRM) is a procedure and training system developed for production systems where human error can have devastating effects.
Used primarily for improving safety, CRM focuses on interpersonal communication, leadership, and decision making.
The target of this course is the insight of every participant to actively work on his/her personal  behaviour for improved and safer operations.
CRM can be described as a management approach which makes optimum use of all available resources – equipment, actions, and people – in order to promote safety and enhance the efficiency of operations, which is fundamental for providing safe services.

  • Monitoring and intervention.
  • Resilience development.
  • Surprise and startle effect.
  • Cultural differences.
  • Safety and company culture.
  • Case studies.

The actual training items depend on the needs of  the customer in relation to initial and/or  recurrent CRM training.

Training objectives 

  • Solidification of the application of CRM techniques in day-to-day operations.
  • Improvement of communication flows during operations.
  • Learning the skills of leadership and followership in light of CRM theory.

Administration

  • Duration: 2 days initial/1 day recurrent.
  • Deliverables: All participants will obtain a certificate of attendance.

Prerequisites 

No specific prior knowledge is required to attend  this training.
